“Every understanding is a misunderstanding as it comes from limited perception.”

will premier at the Keir awards in Melb, March 2020
"Hold me closer Tony Danza" is the first Queensland work to be selected for the Keir Chroeographic Awards, held at Dancehouse in Melbourne and Carriageworks in Sydney in March 2020.
"Tony Danza" is a study of misunderstanding that seeks to unify two individuals who believe in their own limited perceptions as the foundation with which they should view the world and each other.
Reflecting a post truth reality and a modern minefield of potential misrepresentations, Tony attempts to confront an awkward reality of responsibility through a choreography of discomfort, lack of co-ordination and inappropriate dynamics. The show may also feature a live score by Elton John.
