Grayson Millwood

Grayson is a Co-Director The Farm.

That means he does whatever needs to be done to keep this company surging forward. A career that began with an emphasis on dancing and choreographing, is now tipping towards managing and producing, but there are no hard rules, and many jobs in between.

Grayson is passionate about collaborating with like minded artists, and is always looking for that moment in every new work when the artwork takes over and begins to guide the production.

During his career, he has worked in over 50 countries creating and performing in theatre, dance, opera, installation and film, and worked with many well known choreographers such as Meryl Tankard, Nasser Martin-Gousset. Benoit La chambre, Joachim Schloemer, Constanza Macras and Sasha Waltz (with whom he continues to work) as well as video artists, Julian Rosefeldt, Eve Sussman and Janet Cardiff

Grayson was an artist in residence at Festspielhaus St. Poelten, Austria and Tanztheater Freiburg, Germany, and has a close relationship with TanzZeit in Berlin where he has been developing a series of performances for children.

The Farm have received many Greenroom awards, including “Best male dancer” that was awarded to Grayson for 2 works as well as Matilda awards, a Drover award and a Helpman award.
