The Greenhouse is a performance group for young people who have something to say about the world and their place in it.
Greenhouse is a contemporary performance ensemble for physical actors and dancers from ages 13 - 24.
Greenhouse collaborate on ideas and inspirations, dance and dramas, what to say and when to say it. Taught and facilitated by artist of The Farm, the ensemble create performance works that take place inside and outside of the theatre. They are an out of the ordinary performance group who like to challenge the notion that teenagers have nothing useful to contribute to the world.
This year the GreenHouse will perform a new full length work at Home of the Arts (HOTA).
We develop emerging artists through The Farm’s core principles of making: collaboration, improvisation and creativity.
More than just a bag of hormones, The Greenhousers are getting a name for themselves as an agitative force. They were HOTA’s disruptors in residence in 2019 and 2020 and are a bunch of moody teenagers who demand you share their raw perspectives on what’s happening in our world and the way we can use art to respond to it.
