Featured Farmer: Chloe ogilvie
An interview with Chloe in April, 2020 as she is in lockdown in Perth
Where are you right now?
At home, in Perth. Luckily in the east by the river.
Can you upload a photo for us?
When and how did you first meet other members of The Farm?
Mark Howett taught me at WAAPA, then I joined him on a tour to Kalgoorlie where I met Kate.
He then also dragged me along to Melbourne where I met Gavin, Grayson, Luke and Josh.
I was at WAAPA at the same time as Essie, and worked on a show in 2016 with Michael, but we didn't figure it out until a few years after
What is it about lighting that gets you all excited?
I started doing it in high school drama to avoid being in plays, then continued to do it to skip class before assemblies.
It wasn't until I began at WAAPA that I actually fell in love with it.
I was always fascinated by how its like photography but in real-time and how much of an impact it can have on a show.
I mostly just enjoy the work environment though.
What is an upside to being in Quarantine?
I don't usually spend this long in Perth before I head off on my next show, so that's nice.
I fully unpacked my suitcase for the first time in like three years.
My baking skills have increased.
I think I've become more patient?
We usually wind up these interviews by asking what's next for you. Knowing that it can't be much during a lockdown, what are you missing out on that you'd love to be doing?
It's starting to get cold in Perth, so I'm missing out on the warm weather over in QLD where I should be heading.
I was also meant to be gearing up for a festival that I had the honour of co-curating but that'll have to wait.
Where can people see more of what you are up to?
Not really anywhere? if you're seeing this you must already be connected with the Farm, so here's one of my favourite recipes atm,
